Disclaimer:
I have taken tons of pictures over the last few weeks, but I am not going to post them now. It's late and I have to drive again tomorrow. I will try to get some up soon.Roy, Lil, my children and I are all in Farmington, NM tonight. We shall arrive in Duchesne tomorrow. It's been a long voyage. Derek, Lil, the kids and I actually left Norman on Thursday (after a long ordeal with movers -- I did not tear my hair or anyone else's out), June 4th. We went to Lawton where we endured further annoyances at the hand of Fort Sill's army beaurocracy, but did finally end up with approval to take our family to Alaska at the army's expense and a passport application for Naomi turned in. I admit to feeling IMMENSE relief after that was all taken care of.
Saturday night, Roy joined us in Lawton. After church on Sunday (it was only yesterday, though it seems much longer ago), Derek entered training at Fort Sill. The rest of us travelled to Amarillo, TX, where we spent the night. This morning we went to the American Quarter Horse Museum. It was quite pleasant. The kids really enjoyed their children's section. DJ and Michael had a great time 'racing' and 'riding' all over that room. Naomi enjoyed chewing on things. Thankfully the room at least appeared very clean.
We spent the afternoon and evening driving to Farmington. We are very ready for a good night's sleep, so we can head out for new adventures tomorrow. (I really can't wait to be done driving...)
