Last night I was getting my work out stuff ready for my morning workout. I do this every morning with the Army ROTC, so on a daily basis I don't want to be looking for my clothes at 5:20 in the morning.
So I got done watching the Sharks man handle the Oilers, so it was about 11:30pm my time and I went to get my stuff together and couldn't find my shoes anywhere. I knew I put them in my closet, but they weren't there. So I grabbed a flashlight and checked the kids room just in case DJ decided to wear them. I couldn't find them there either.
I was getting desperate, I had to run 5 miles this morning and I wanted my technologically advanced, no knee pain shoes.
I checked behind my door and Jenn looked down and saw the box that they came in and asked if it had put them in the box. I never store shoes in their original box, but picked it up anyway. As it turned out, my shoes were stored in the box. I found out after interrogation this morning, that Michael "did me a favor".
Anyway, I ran 5 miles in just under 52:00, which is down from last semester. Last semester however it wasn't 22 degrees.
There is a lot of stupidity that's prevalent in the Army and it's "leadership". They decided that we didn't need to run with our workout pants on, shorts were sufficient. By the time I got back from the run, my inner thighs were blotchy red, which is the first stage before frost bite. Needless to say, I don't believe in making decisons that effect other people just so I can show how tough I am.
Let's be really tough and get frost bite, that will make you an effective leader.
