Naomi had her 2 mo. check up Monday. I was not surprised to hear that she is big...
She measured 23 3/4 in. (87%), 13 lb. 9 oz. (95%), and 16 in. head cir. (85%). At least, as the doctor so kindly put it, she's "proportional."
She also had her first round of shots (for purposes of this blog -- and because the doctor did -- we are opting to ignore the hospital Hep B). She's a sad little thing now. It was especially sad for us, because she spent her whole appointment smiling and talking and enjoying her reflection and just being adorable. Then the shots came and ruined everything. She actually calmed down really quickly, but then a few hours later, the side effects hit. She's running a bit of a fever and crying a lot (inconsolably), which is very unlike her, and I feel so terrible for her. Baby pain killer has helped, but she is still obviously miserable. I hate watching my babies suffer, even when I know it will be short-lived and she'll ultimately be healthier.
So right after I wrote that paragraph, Derek handed Naomi to me and she started grinning and cooing, so I'm feeling lots better.
I started this Monday, but am just now (Wed) getting around to finishing it, and Naomi is back to normal -- getting even cuter every day!
