I've had so much fun reading and remembering as I've browsed blogs that I decided to try it. Oh, and, in case you haven't guessed, Derek's parents (we are in CA now) have high-speed internet and I am loving it!
Here are the instructions:
Here are the instructions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. (It can be Jenn, Derek or both). It doesn't matter if you knew me/us a little or a lot; anything you remember.
2. Next, re-post these instructioms on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's fun to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Jenn,
I remember thinking you were such a cool cousin (of course, I still think that) and I loved it when you were around the summers I'd come to visit. You didn't mind playing games with us, getting involved in water fights, etc. I was a lot younger than you but I never felt that way because you always included me in things. I remember my horse incident and you and Roy being so quick to get off your horses to rush to my rescue. You talked and laughed and made me feel at ease, and not so stupid for not being as skilled of a rider:). I remember the walk you, Beth and I took up to the church to give my back some fresh air. I believe you made me wear one of your swimsuits and I was so embarrassed any time a car would pass by because I felt so naked. You were a friend as well as a cousin. I loved it when you brought your kids and spent the night at our house. It was so fun. You're just great.
Jenn, I remember one time when you came to visit us in Idaho, and you had cut your hair. It was a fun and summery hairdo, and it looked AWESOME on you. I remember tickling one another and thinking how cool you were, and how good that new hairdo looked on you. You were always so much fun (sarcastic, yes, and fun!), and always gave us little girls attention. You rock! :)
Jenn, back when I was so baby hungry and not able to have that baby that I wanted, Tim and I went to Duchesne for a visit. You were a tiny baby, and I got to hold you and cuddle you and realize that no matter how long it took, having a child was worth the wait. You were so sweet and adorable. Sometimes it is hard to believe that enough time has passed for you to be welcoming your own babies
Derek: I remember meeting you for the first time after hearing about you from Jenn's family. I was so happy that Jenn found you. You are so perfect together. I especially liked your smile.
Jenn, I remember so many things about you. You were such an awesome cousin.
I remember when I first went to Logan to USU. I was so scared and nervous and you were there for me. It was nice that we lived close by each other and could do things together. I remember the walks in the park and our long talks that we had.
Jenn, I remember how fun it was to come visit your family when you lived in Utahn. I remember playing in your room with dolls. I also remember playing scrabble with you guys when you moved to town, and eating popcorn while we played. I've always really looked up to you and admired you. Thanks for being such a great cousin!
One of the very earliest memories I have of you is going to your house with my mom when she went visiting teaching there. While she and your mom visited, we'd play in your room and I remember thinking your beds were the coolest things ever how they went all around the walls like a wide bench or something.
I remember riding the bus to school with you for many years and I'd purposely sit by you so that I could read over your shoulder whichever book you happened to be reading that day. It seemed like you read so fast that it was a new book every day, but a lot of the books I checked out of the library were ones that I'd "previewed" on the bus.
And of course I remember all the fun and crazy times we had together in high school and especially in college. Remember posting those silly quotes on our door? Remember Skinny the Skeleton from Halloween? Or that awful job we took that lasted about three weeks? I remember being back home for the summer and just getting so excited to get a letter from you(do you remember when we actually used to write letters to each other on paper? And that we used to do that on a somewhat regular basis?)I remember that spring break that we spent at our dorm when all of the other roommates went to California and we just had so much fun staying closer to home. I also remember the time that you and I were walking to a fireside and you stepped off the curb wrong and sprained your ankle so badly that you couldn't move. I remember leaving you on the sidewalk so that I could run back to the dorms and hike up 3 flights of stairs to find the elder's quorum president and his roommate to come and carry you back to our dorm and up our 3 flights of stairs. I was positive your ankle was broken it was so swollen.
Most of all I remember those late night/all night talks we had and sometimes I find myself thinking I could really use one of those again! That was good therapy. I miss you too and I'm so glad that at least we have the internet to keep us connected since no matter how much we love and miss each other, keeping in touch just isn't our thing!
Jenn, I just remember that when you were around, there was a lot of laughing! I seriously think you have such a fun sense of humor. I always thought you and Amy and Holly were such a fun trio and I loved hanging out with you guys and being included in the hilarity.
I'll start with Derek:
I remember going back and forth via blogs, talking about the Sharks (I'm not sure I've ever talked about the Sharks so much! I think I did more than Brent!). I remember we even did a sort of "blog challenge" thing, showing off our Sharks memorabilia. (You've got me beat by far with that awesome table Jenn made!)
I remember going to your reception in Duchesne. You seemed a pretty cool guy, so I was glad Jenn found you.
I remember finding out that not only are you a Sharks fan, you're from San Jose! And you served in Brazil, right? And you like the A's over the Giants, and I think you like the 49ers over the Raiders, right? Same as Brent, right down the line.
Jenn:
First off, I have to start with a most embarrassing memory... do you remember when you and Amy and Holly came to visit us in Idaho, and Mom asked me to sleep on the couch so you guys could sleep in my room? Do you remember that tantrum I threw? Yea... I'm pretty embarrassed and ashamed and so I am hereby asking you to please forgive a doofusy immature girl like me. And if you talk to Holly (and Amy, if you read this) can you please tell them, in a most casual manner, that I am sorry for being such a spoiled brat?? If, however, they are blessed with a non-memory of that event, then just say, "Ok well then that's that!" and don't tell them how doofusy I was!
Anyway, I remember once when we were visiting Duchesne, I either had an owie or mosquito bites, and you were doctoring me up, and I was screaming. Not out of pain, just for the fun of screaming. You told me it wasn't nice to do that, and now that I have two Boys who love to do the same thing, I see the wisdom in your words.
I remember just always laughing with you. You are so hilarious and I just love being around you.
I remember you coming to visit Maria and me when we lived in Provo, and having a grand ol' time. I think you were driving a blue car at the time, am I right?
Lots more memories, but I just looked at the time and now I hear Brent's key in the lock and the house is in complete disarray because I've been uh... on the computer... Bye!
I remember when you lived in Duchesne just after Hannah was born. First of all, as a Relief Society teacher, I LOVED having you in there! You always gave great comments.
I also loved when you were my visiting teacher during that time. You were always great for a good talk, and I've never enjoyed any of my visiting teachers as much.
