For Kirsten

In response to your post, and your request on my sports blog, here are the pictures of our Sharks table. Not exactly a perma-decoration, but cool none the less. I was trying to find the pictures of Jenn painting it, but they were no where to be found. If I find them I'll post them, but in the meantime, here are some recent photos of our kitchen table turned scrapbook table.

Jenn will kill me for alowing you all to see the clutter,

A little closer.

Not bad, eh?

While we're on the subject of Sharks art, Lil wood burned this piece for me as a Christmas present, pretty cool if I must say so myself.

So that's my response to your perma-decoration. It's not hung on a speaker wire, but it's still cool. I have an awesome wife, that's willing to paint our kitchen table, that is seen by everyone, with the logo of my all time favorite team.
Lil also did an incredible job, guess I married into the right family.

Go Sharks!!!

Very nice. Yes, you'll have to get the new logo incoporated somewhere. I know I don't have the artistic talent to paint anything, I guess I just have to get decals and the like from the Sharks store or the internet.

WOW!!! I would never let JJ paint a Dbacks logo on my kitchen table. You have one awesome wife!!! She did a great job.

A little background Genny. This table belonged to my brother and sister-in-law. By the time we got our hands on it, it was in shambels. The wood was showing threw the varnish, if you spilled food on it and left it for 10 seconds (especially in dry Arizona), the food would stick. It was a mess.
I was thinking about the color I would change it to and bouncing ideas off of Jenn. We were joking about putting the logo on the table, and Jenn changed from a joke to being all for it. So it was mostly Jenn's idea, and a good thing too, because like Brent, I don't have the artistic ability to paint anything. I'm good at sanding though.

Jenn,
On my blog, Kirsten was wondering what part of CA you'll be in. I don't think you'll be close to her, but you'll have to answer that for sure.

wow. Yeah, I would never let my table have a Spurs, Patriots, Bruins or Red Sox logo on it, but I do try to cheer them on for Spence's sake, and I get him clothes with the logos on it.
to Lil: Could you make one of those with the Red Sox logo on it for me to give to Spencer for some occasion? He'd really love that:)
To Jenn and Derek: Could you make sure she does that for me:)

Ani,
I'll ask her, but the Sharks one was a ton of work.

Look at those crafty sisters! They definitely got their mom's craft abilities! I agree with Genny, I'd kill Mubeen if there was a Michigan State Spartan on my table! You must know how special she is!
